The main objective of the project is to provide an assessment of the processes of the strategic direction of the North Atlantic Alliance and to define recommendations for the adaptation of NATO 2030 in the Slovak Republic, as well as to cover the topic of the preparations for the NATO Summit and its subsequent implications for the development of the Alliance.

 The sub-objectives of the project are as follows:

• Analytical assessment of the current debate and processes of NATO's strategic direction, also in the light of political changes in the United States and the EU's defence and security plans.
• Formulation of recommendations for the Slovak decision-making sphere in relation to the NATO 2030 adaptation
• Supporting an expert and informed public debate to anchor Slovak positions on NATO and transatlantic security cooperation in a broader participatory process.

The project is being implemented from May to December 2021. Project activities are carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic. EuroPolicy is solely responsible for the content in the project's editorial outputs.
