In 2024, Slovakia marks 20 years of NATO membership while the Alliance celebrates its 75th anniversary. These milestones provide an opportunity to reflect on NATO’s role in Transatlantic security and address emerging challenges, particularly in the context of the war in Ukraine and the evolving European defense agenda.
Through a combination of expert analysis, multimedia content, and public engagement, EuroPolicy aims to enhance understanding of NATO’s role, Slovakia’s contributions to the Alliance, and the EU’s evolving security framework. The project builds on previous initiatives that have positioned EuroPolicy as a leading platform for NATO-related discourse in Slovakia.
Key activities include:
- Informative and Analytical Content: The project will provide in-depth analysis of NATO’s strategic direction, EU defense policies, and Slovakia’s role in Transatlantic security. By delivering expert insights through articles, interviews, and multimedia content, it will contribute to a well-informed public debate on these critical issues.
- Research and Policy Analysis: The initiative will offer expert-driven assessments of key security developments, including the outcomes of the NATO Washington Summit and the European Commission’s defense agenda. These analyses will help stakeholders understand the implications for Slovakia’s security and defense policies.
- Public Engagement and Awareness-Raising: By leveraging partnerships with major media platforms and social networks, the project will reach policymakers, experts, journalists, and the general public. Through accessible and engaging formats, it aims to counter misinformation and foster a deeper understanding of Transatlantic security cooperation.
The project, running from November 2024 to January 2025, is designed to promote fact-based discussions on Transatlantic security, counter misinformation, and strengthen awareness of Slovakia’s role in NATO and the EU’s evolving security landscape. By leveraging expert insights and media partnerships, it aims to foster a more inclusive and well-informed security discourse.
The project is being implemented from November 2024 to January 2025.
