Nevertheless, according to ZSOLT RÁBAI, proactivity has never been a strength of international organizations. Hence, if Europe yearns for peace, it has no choice but to become proactive. "Trying to understand Russia or China, however, cannot lead to a relativisation of our own values. The forthcoming NATO summit will therefore be a milestone," he writes.

Deepfake technologies have been used for entertainment for years. But they also represent a relatively new and difficult-to-detect digital threat. At European level, they will be regulated by the Artificial Intelligence Act, for which the member states are still preparing.
